Race to the Top Higher Education Tip Sheet

This guide reviews the four assurance areas states must address in their RTTT applications: standards and assessments; data systems to support instruction; great teachers and leaders; and turning around the lowest-achieving schools. For each area, the guide suggests specific ways in which postsecondary can be of help, both in the short-term development of RTTT proposals and in long-term implementation of funded initiatives.
